**********************************************************************************************************************************************

For the fall season MCSA has had to increase the price of the Middle School program. This is partly driven by the player impact fee and the city changing the field usage rates for Middle School.

Statement from the city:

"We want to share information regarding the player impact fee associated with participation in our youth sports leagues, including recreation soccer.

For the first time in 28 years, the player impact fee has been adjusted. This change was necessary to ensure consistency across all organizations that utilize our athletic facilities and to help support the ongoing maintenance and improvements that benefit everyone who uses these spaces.

Over the past several decades, thousands of young athletes and families have used our fields, courts, and shared amenities.  The impact fees help ensure that we can continue providing safe, well-maintained environments for practices, games, and league events.  While costs have risen substantially over the years, this is the first increase as we have held the line by keeping these fees minimal for years.  We understand that any fee increase can raise questions, we made this decision carefully, considering the long-term sustainability of our programs and facilities in mind. Our goal is to continue providing a positive experience for every athlete and family participating in our leagues.

We appreciate your continued support of youth athletics and the opportunities these programs provide for our community’s children.
