Newington Dominates West Hartford Under the Lights

The Newington Wolves dominated the West Hartford Rangers 6-0 in a Friday night under the lights match up.

Newington struck first at the 19 minute mark of the first half on a Penalty Kick by Speedy. This came after the West Hartford opponent was called for a hand-ball in the box.

Newington scored its second goal of the first half on a goal by Cooper off a sweet feed from Louis.

At the 9 minute mark of the second half Cooper scored his second goal of the game to put Newington up 3-0.

The lead was stretched to 4-0 at the 22 minute mark when Mike Ganley scored.

Newington wasted no time in pushing the score to 5-0 when Domenic scored his first goal of the season.

The final goal of the game came at the 31 minute mark on a breakaway by Jaime's first goal of the season. This put Newington up 6-0.

The Newington defense was again outstanding. The defense only allowed (4) shots on goal and allowed Newington to post its third consecutive shutout.

Newington's next game will be a league game on Sunday, September 22nd against Farmington on NHS Field # 4.
