Coach for MCSA Recreational League Soccer

Coaching a Rec League Soccer team is a wonderfully fulfilling experience! Before you volunteer to coach, please consider the following:

• This is an unpaid, volunteer position.

• The focus of Rec League Soccer is creating a positive experience for all children while helping them develop a love for the game.

• This is not a competitive league. Scores are not recorded.

• There are no tryouts and each player is guaranteed to play at least half of each game.

• To the best of their ability, age group coordinators place players based on (1) practice location requests, (2) friend requests, and (3) coach requests.

• Bearing in mind the needs of the team, each coach determines the location, time, and day of his or her practices.

• Coaches are responsible for securing their own practice locations.

• Games are played on Saturdays at Heritage Park Soccer Complex, located at the intersection of Peacher’s Mill Road and 101st Airborne Division Parkway in Clarksville, Tenn.

• MCSA has fall and spring soccer seasons.

• Each season lasts 8-10 weeks, depending on the need for makeup games. Check the season calendar for specific dates.
